Wartime British Army individual ration tin \"Boiled Sweets\" produced by C.N.& C. Ltd packing date October 1943. Tin measures 11x8x2cm is in good used condition with general wear (see photo). Tin only no contents.

Scarce wartime R.A.F Special Ration Type C, sealed still containing its original contents. Stores Ref No 27P/21, produced by J.B.B Ltd. The gilt metal tin measures approx. 11x9cm is in good unopened condition with some wear to the finish and lettering. Contents listed - Boiled Sweets, Fruit Bar, Sweet Biscuits, Oatmeal Munch and Chewing Gum.

Fleet Air Arm C-Type Flying Helmet.

A good sound used example, no size marking but appears to be a fairly large size of a Fleet Air Arm C-Type Flying Helmet. The leather is good and supple, the chinstrap is grubby but sound, the lining is good but with staining from use. The zip ears are good and working one foam cushion is missing, the wiring loom is complete with ear receivers, some damage to the jack plug. Overall a very good example of a used \"been there\" helmet.

\"Dienst-Brille\" Wartime issue German army wire rimmed spectacles in there original tin case with original named grade card. In good condition with service wear to finish of case. (see photos)

Air Raid Shelter Sign - \"Public Shelter For 25 Persons\" This actual sign is featured in Peter Doyle book \"The Home Front British Wartime Memorabilia 1939 - 1945\" page 95. This shelter sign was one of a number found during rubbish clearance in a Walsall (West Midlands) church crypt; which would have been used as a shelter during raids on the industrial West Midlands 1940 - 41. The sign is not complete (see photo) and measures approx. 78x23cm in uncleaned condition.

Grouping To P/O A.E. Kelly R.C.A.F - 431 Squadron

Grouping To P/O A.E. Kelly R.C.A.F - 431 Squadron

Document and insignia grouping to J38328 Pilot Officer / Flying Officer / Flight Lieutenant / Squadron Leader, later Major Allan Everet Kelly, Royal Canadian Air Force. The group covers his wartime service and post war. Commissioned as a Officer on 12th November 1943, Kelly flew as a Navigator in Halifax and Lancaster aircraft with 431 RCAF Squadron based at RAF Croft in the latter period of World War Two. From March 1945 he flew on 15 raids, into the heart of Europe, his last raid being the final sortie flow by his Squadron, at the end of the war before returning to Canada. Raids include - Cologne, Dessau, Essen, Dortmund, Saarbrucken, Hagen, Heide, Hamburg x 2, Leipzig, Kiel, Schweinfurt, Bremen, Wangerooge and Juvincourt. Post war he became a specialist in communications, leaving the RCAF in 1971, with the rank of Major. He was at C.F.B Penhold from February 1965 to January 1971 and was also attached to 743 Canadian Communications Squadron, on his retirement. Contents of the grouping include - 1. His original Navigator log sheets and Plotting route maps for the following operations- 10/3/1945 - Essen - A/C SE-C 12/3/1945 - Dortmund - A/C SE-C 14/3/1945 - Saarbrucken - A/C SE-C 21/3/1945 - Heide - A/C SE-C 24/4/1945 - Wangerooge - A/C SE-G 10/4/1945 - Leipzig - A/C SE-C The logs and route maps are clearly written and drawn in pencil and would have been completed during the sortie. 2. \"Chart Of Sorties Flown to Jerryland\" Map completed by Kelly showing targets attacked. 3. His 1943 dated promotion certificate to Pilot Officer. 4. Four wartime period photographs one being his \"escape\" photos. 5. His wartime Navigator brevet. 6. War Service Badge with identification card dated August 1945. 7. Wartime and post war medal ribbons. 8. A group of his post war insignia. 9. Six post war service photograph.
