An unusual and scarce R.A.F item being a 1930/40s ceramic foot / bed warmer. In overall good condition with RAF crest to top, makers mark to rear , retains its original stopper and seal.

Scarce English Language edition of the "Der Adler" magazine for January 11th 1944. 16 page illustrated magazine in sound used condition with some slight damage to corner of front cover (see photos). The Luftwaffe magazine "Der Adler" (The Eagle) was published monthly under the auspices of Herman Gorings German Air Ministry in Berlin.

George VI Territorial Efficiency Medal to 4801748 Pte G. Rose Lincolnshire Regiment. The medal is clearly named has replacement ribbon and is in \"as found\" uncleaned condition.

WW1 Derby Scheme Arm Band.

WW1 Derby Scheme Arm Band, red embroidered crown on white armband, in good condition with some staining. The Derby scheme armband worn with civilian clothes by men who had formally attested for Army service. The scheme, which was introduced in October 1915 by Lord Derby, Director General of Recruiting, represented a final attempt to avoid full conscription. Men aged between 18 and 41 were asked to attest their willingness to serve, on the understanding that all single men would be called up before the youngest married volunteers.

City of Birmingham Air Raid Precautions booklet - Measures for the assistance of persons suffering loss or damage in air raids. 32 page small booklet published by Birmingham Corporation 1940, in sound but well used condition with some rusting around staples.

RAF Pilots Flying Log Book to Sgt Pilot K.J Hodgso

RAF Pilots Log Book to 577966 Sgt K.J Hodgson 64 Squadron based at Linton-On-Ouse who was killed when his Meteor jet crashed near York May 1951. The log covers the period 1948 to 1951. Pilot training commenced April 12th 1948 with 6 F.T.S on DH82A going solo on the 29th April, training continued with 6FTS until May 1949 during this time he had switch from the DH82 to the Harvard. June 1949 a move to 204 AFU on Mosquito. He gained his pilots wings on the 13th April 1949. His first Squadron was 64 Squadron at RAF Linton on Ouse flying Hornet and Mosquitos, he converted to Meteor January 1951 and sadly was killed in May 1951, newspaper report from the time states - Sgt pilot Hodgson 27 was killed when a jet propelled Meteor from RAF Linton On Ouse near York crashed into the embankment of the York to Hull railway line on the outskirts of York. The machine dived steeply into the embankment and exploded leaving a crater more than 10 feet deep. His log records 679 hrs flying and the book is 95% full is very well written with all correct signatures and stamps. The log is in good sound condition and comes with programme for his wings presentation, 2 newspaper articles on the aircraft crash and letter from RAF to his wife with regards to the crash.
