Borough of Wandsworth Air Raid Precautions Wardens grouping to J . F Cheshire consists of - 1. National Registration Identity Card issued 1943 showing service as a warden in Wandsworth. 2. His Borough of Wandsworth A.R.P identity card issued 1940. 3. Small photograph of J.F Cheshire. 4. Letter dated June 1945 from Wandsworth Council thanking him for service as a warden with the Putney Division during the war. All items are in good used condition.

A rare World War One private purchase soldiers tinder box, the small tin contains its original contents, flint, firesteel, tinder material and instructions label. The tin approx. 8 x 4 cm is in good original condition with some loss of finish (see photos).

WW2 medal group to Cpl J. Armstrong serving with the Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire). Armstrong from Accrington was also a long term member of the St John Ambulance. Medals - 39 - 45 Star, Africa Star with 1st Army Bar, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, General Service Medal (Named) with Palestine 45-48 clasp, Named St John service medal with 6 bars. All medals mounted as worn and in very good condition. His dog tags, Loyals shoulder title, named box for G.S.M, and receipt, Medal issue receipt and St John Ambulance certificate for 6th bar. Interesting medal group in need of further research.

Super quality wartime / pre-war Tortoise Shell R.A.F cigarette case with inlaid silver R.A.F wing and owners initials. Case measures approx. 8 x 12 cm is in very good conditions with just some light scratches to case.
