Flight Magazine - Identification Chart of British
Scarce early war \"Identification Chart Of British Aircraft\" produced by Flight Magazine, the thick card chart measures approx 56 x 37 cm and is in good sound used condition with some age decolourisation and slight damage to edges. These charts are often seen on the walls in early RAF crew room photographs and also used by Home Guard, Civil Defence ATC etc.. Postage is high on this item because it will need to be posted flat.
Battle Of France Attributed Air Crew Europe Casual
A rare Battle of France Air Crew Europe casualty medal group to 935893 Leading Aircraftman (air gunner) Frederick Lawrence Bettany No 26 Squadron RAF killed in action 19/5/1940. The medals are mounted as worn and have all been privately named the medals are in good condition the original ribbons are a little stained and worn the backing cloth has suffered from moth damage (see photos). His aircraft Lysander II N1202 was shot down by Lt Strakel-jahn of Stab I (J) LG2 during a tactical reconnaissance sortie - See After the Battle - The Battle Of France Then and Now page 321 for more details. He is buried at Landrecis Communal Cemetery France. Bettany from Sleaford Lincolnshire was aged 19. A good early war medal group in need of further research, note on the internet there is a good photograph of him in full flying gear.

\"Port War\" Lowestoft at War 1939 - 1945 by Ford Jenkins. Hardback book (no dust jacket) published 1947, eighty pages illustrated throughout with black and white photographs. In good sound condition with some age wear and foxing. A good local history with quality photographs.
