1944 R.A.F Aircrew Thermos Flask.
R.A.F Aircrew Thermos Flask dated 1944 on base with broad arrow and makers details "Thermos". The flask is in good condition retaining most of its original finish and "Directions" details the gloss liner is complete and has its cork cap. Measures approx 25cm high and 12cm dia.
Royal Flying Corps Pilots Wings.
A good quality pair of World War One Royal Flying Corps pilots wings. Classic pattern embroidered flat, non padded wings for wear on the service dress, approx 10cm with eleven feathers for each wing. In very good clean condition with just some slight service wear to edges and backing.
Vintage 1940s Yellow CC41 Dress.
Vintage 1940s stylish dress by Berkertex Bond Street London, designed by Hartnell. The yellow cotton / linen dress with white small dot pattern is in very good clean used condition with clear CC41 label to inner shoulder, size 16, hips 39, original belt is missing supplied with modern leather belt.
Wartime R.A.F Service Dress Tunic - 10 / 462 / 77
Wartime R.A.F Service Dress Tunic worn by Flying Officer Matthew Holliday DFC, he flew 3 tours of operations with No 10, 462 and 77 Squadrons. The standard four pocket tunic is in very good clean condition "Burton" makers label to inside pocket. F/O rank lace, good quality Flight Engineer 12 wing and his medal ribbons DFC Air Crew Europe etc. Although the tunic is not named we granuatee that this belonged to Holliday. Included are photocopies of 3 photos of Holliday and crew.
Pathfinder Flying Log book Grouping - 103 / 582 Sq
Flying log book grouping to Navigator F/O J.A Tulloch J.35920 RCAF. The group includes - 2 x Aircrew Log Books covering the period May 1943 to July 1964. Pathfinder Badge Certificate, personally signed by Air Vice Marshal D.Bennett. 3 x wartime and post war badges. 1945 dated letter RCAF - release from active service. 1951 photograph, Tulloch in uniform. Small photograph Lancaster aircraft. Log Book No1 covers the period May 1943 to June 1960. Flying navigator training commenced on the 13th May 1943 at No 5 A.O.S on Ansons and continued in Canada until moving to the UK April 1944 with 30 OTU on Wellingtons then a short spell with 1667 Con Unit on Halifax and 1.L.F.S on Lancaster. Joining his first squadron No 103 in August 1944 based at Elsham Wolds as navigator on Lancaster he completed 11 ops. October 1944 he joined No 582 Pathfinder Squadron based at Little Staughton where he flew a further 29 ops. He received his Pathfinder wings on the 10th January 1945 and completed his final operation to Kassel on the 8th March 1945. After the war he remained in the RCAF and the rest of logbook one and log number two cover this flying period up to 1964. Both logs are in good sound used condition with service wear, they are clearly written and have all correct stamps and signatures. The Pathfinder certificated is in good condition has been folded and has a good clear ink signature of A.V.M Bennett. A good scarce pathfinder group and in need of further research.
